Problems with Your Order
Send us an email at: dahlias@sunnymeadowsflowerfarm.com to let us know. Please include your name, order number, and a list of what is missing.
As a rule, we don't divide down to each and every single tuber, so you may receive a small clump instead of an individual tuber. This allows our team to work more efficiently, and also provides us with a safety measure against damage that can occur during shipping.
If you are not satisfied with the tubers that you received, your order is covered for a replacement or a merchandise credit.

Take photos of your tuber(s) and send us an email at: dahlias@sunnymeadowsflowerfarm.com to let us know. Please include your Order # in the subject line, and a description of the problem in your message.
If your tuber came in a small clump, check to see if there are any tubers still attached. If so, you still have a viable tuber that will produce a healthy plant!
Our tubers are shipped dormant and their eyes may be difficult to identify at this stage. Give them a few weeks to wake up and keep in mind that different varieties take longer to break dormancy than others.
If you'd like us to take a look at your tubers, submit a Dahlia Tuber Support Ticket linked here. A member of our team will follow up in 3-5 days.
It is common for mold to grow on the cut ends of tubers. If you see any, give your tuber a gentle squeeze to see if it feels mushy. If the tuber still feels firm, you can cut off the infected part of the tuber or simply wipe the mold off with some hydrogen peroxide, and move it to a spot with less humidity.
If your tuber is moldy and mushy, submit a Tuber Support Ticket to let us know.
It is completely normal for tubers to lose moisture or become a little soft or shriveled while they are in storage. Because dahlia tubers are an organic, living thing, there can be a lot of variation in how they store. To prevent moisture loss, we recommend wrapping your tubers in newspaper or packing them in bags with peat, sawdust, or vermiculite. Minimize air flow and do not store in a wet or humid environment.
Give your tuber a gentle squeeze - there should still be some resistance. If it turns to mush or gives way when you press on it, submit a Dahlia Tuber Support Ticket to let us know.
Some varieties take longer than others to sprout. If your tuber looks healthy but isn't sprouting, log the issue with us by submitting a Dahlia Tuber Support Ticket. A member of our team will follow up in 3-5 business days if a replacement is needed. Otherwise, go ahead and plant the tuber like you normally would.
Let us know by May 31st, 2025 if any of your tubers from us have not sprouted.
Review our Dahlia Disease page for more information. If you suspect your tuber is diseased, we recommend having your tuber tested to confirm your diagnosis before disposing of your plant.
Dahlia disease can be spread by a number of vectors and plant health is dependent on a range of variables. Once your tubers leave our farm, we are not responsible for how well they perform.
