Your shortcut for earlier, more abundant blooms!Our live plant collection gives you instant access to uncommon Dahlias, Mums, scented Geraniums and more - including many coveted colors and varieties - no greenhouse or green thumb required. Each plant begins as a cuttings from our healthy "mother" plants grown here on our farm in Columbus, Ohio. We grow them in premium soil, give them some TLC before they are carefully shipped to you rooted and ready to plant. Whether you're juggling a busy schedule or simply don't have the space for a greenhouse or propagation setup, these live starts make it easy to add a diversity of specialty cut flowers to foliage to your plot or patch.
Ordering & Shipping Basics
Our live plants ship in April and May--just when gardens are waking up and these "starts" are less likely to be damaged by extreme temperatures. Each variety is sold in packs of 3 or 4. We'll label each pack by variety and nestle multiple varieties together in the same box. Mixing and matching is possible--and encouraged!
Growing Zones & Care
Sunny Meadows Flower Farm is located in Columbus, Ohio which is in USDA Hardiness Zone 6b. Before ordering & planting, check your USDA Hardiness Zone and also learn when your first and last frost dates are for your area. Once your cuttings arrive, pot them up in a well-draining mix, keep the soil evenly moist (but not soggy), and give them a sunny spot. With your care, they'll quickly establish.

A plant plug is a small, young plant grown in a small, individual cell filled with growing medium, typically potting soil. These
plugs are a cost-effective and convenient way to start or expand a garden, offering a head start compared to starting from seed.
A liner is a small, young plant, typically sold in a small pot or cell pack, that is ready for transplanting into a larger container or
directly into the ground.
Sorry, but rooted cutting orders must be made separately. If you're shopping for items in addition to your rooted cuttings, please place a separate order for all non-rooted cutting items. Other items, such as dried flowers, gear, or tubers, could damage the cuttings. If you place a combined order, we reserve the right to cancel your order or charge additional shipping fees in order to deliver everything to you safely.
