Spread the Joy of Flowers for Mother's Day
We understand that cut flowers are a luxury and not always accessible to everyone in our community. Buying flowers for Mother's Day to show appreciation to the motherly figures in our lives is not something that everyone can afford. To help spread the joy of receiving flowers, we are partnering with The Homeless Families Foundation and their No Show Gala. Your $10 contribution means that you help us get flowers to those Moms and motherly figures who may not get to enjoy the luxury of a traditional Mother's Day.
$10 gift= 1 bouquet in a vase donated (aka Lil' Hotties, which are typically a $25 value)
Our goal is to serve 200 families, and whatever SMFF does not make in donations will be covered by HFF's own donations they are taking for the event. And this new project fits in perfectly with SMFF's new mission statement:
Through our flowers, we hope to cultivate joy and a greater connection to the community.

Online Flower School: Growing Cut-Flower Crops in Hoop and Greenhouses
Sold out for this year. Watch for registration details in November 2021.
We're really excited to be teaching this online course! We designed this online introduction to growing in structures, something that people sometimes find intimidating. We will go into detail about the variables affecting our houses: weather, pests and diseases. We'll also share our setbacks and successes growing in hoop and greenhouses.
Some topics we'll cover include season extension, choice of structures, seasonal crop planning and rotation, irrigation, temperature and heating controls, sustainable practices, and organic pest and disease control.
This class is targeted towards both new and seasoned farmers. Once you purchase the class you'll have access to it forever, so you can refer back to it as your farming knowledge grows. We hope that you can join us.
Are you a florist?
We have flowers March through November, with woody branches available throughout the winter. We specialize in dahlias, lisianthus, and ranunculus, and grow many other varieties as well. Check out our website for more information. Once there you can register as a wholesale customer and see the full catalogue.
